A vacation should really cater to every member of your family, not just the parents or kids. Instead, choose a spot that will accommodate your entire family. Family vacation travel ideas are really not that hard to come up with, you just have to think about them very carefully.
Do you have a child that adores animals? A husband that loves to golf? Maybe you want a bit of beach and spa time ... is it possible to combine all three activities and still spend time together? Of course it is. The travel world is your oyster, so make the best of it. You may find that heading to a tropical destination that offers swimming with the dolphins and a world class golf course is the way to go. Then again, maybe a trip to New Orleans to eat some classic food and feed alligators marshmallows (yes, they eat marshmallows!) is your idea of a fantastic trip. To really get the family involved, sit down together and talk about it.
Ask every family member to write down the best family travel vacation idea that they can come up with (no matter how ridiculous it may seem). Then, head to the library in order to research all travel spots. Finally, ask every family member to pick one spot, and decide which type of vacation will suit all of you. You may be surprised at the concepts that your family come up with, though allowing every person to partake in this decision will bring your family closer.
Ideally, the best vacation will be one that you all remember for a long time to come. You may not think that there is a place to accommodate all of your needs, but just remember that the world is vast. Don't rule out any one spot, and try to think of some truly bizarre places you could go.
In the end, finding a great family travel vacation idea is as easy as using your imagination (along with a bit of teamwork). Remember that each person within your family should have a say when it comes to choosing the best spot. No matter where you end up, you will all be having fun together - isn't that really the point?
